IHC of HLA-DR alpha-chain on an FFPE Lymphoma Tissue
Intended Use | For In Vitro Diagnostic Use
Summary and Explanation | HLA class II histocompatibility antigen, DR alpha chain (HLA-DR alpha chain) is a polymorphic cell surface glycoprotein that is crucial for the cellular interaction in the immune system. Class II molecules have limited tissue distribution and are predominantly expressed on B lymphocytes and macrophage; these class II molecules present peptides derived from extracellular porteins to T cells. HLA-DR alpha chain antibody labels B cells, dendritic cells, monocytes and macrophages. It is also reported to react with tumor cells in many types of cancers including breast, liver, lung and ovary cancer.
